Talking to their doctor about a prescription to buy Actos is one of the most important things a person with diabetes can do to support their health. Unregulated blood sugar levels have been linked to a number of major health complications. Now, new research suggests that diabetics with poorly controlled blood sugar may be more likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease. For the study, a team of researchers from Japan administered blood glucose tests to more than 1,000 individuals over the age of 60, then tracked their health for an average of 11 years. The results showed that more than 27 percent of diabetics developed Alzheimer’s, while just 20 percent of the metabolically healthy participants experienced cognitive problems. "Our findings emphasize the need to consider diabetes as a potential risk factor for dementia," said lead author Yutaka Kiyohara, of Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan. "Diabetes is a common disorder, and the number of people with it has been growing in recent years all over the world. Controlling diabetes is now more important than ever." The majority of diabetes-related complications, including heart disease, kidney failure and nerve damage, stem from uncontrolled blood sugar. Alzheimer’s disease may be the same, indicating that the need to control blood sugar with a prescription to buy Actos is key. |
