Prevalence of silent strokes higher than previously thought
A greater number of individuals may benefit from a prescription to buy Plavix than previously thought, as new evidence suggests that a high number of seniors have suffered "silent strokes," which may be difficult to detect but can cause serious neurological harm nonetheless.
A greater number of individuals may benefit from a prescription to buy Plavix than previously thought, as new evidence suggests that a high number of seniors have suffered "silent strokes," which may be difficult to detect but can cause serious neurological harm nonetheless. A team of researchers from the University of Toronto began their investigation in order to assess the prevalence of cognitive decline symptoms among the elderly. However, after taking brain scans of more than 900 individuals over the age of 60, they found that about a quarter of those over age 70 have suffered a silent stroke. The problem affects 14 percent of 60-year-olds. The researchers said that these types of cardiovascular events can cause a person to become depressed, experience dementia and lose their independence. They called for more to be done to prevent silent strokes. One way to address the problem may be for individuals to talk to their doctor about a prescription to buy Plavix, particularly if they have risk factors for a heart attack or stroke. This medication can support overall cardiovascular well-being and limit patients' risk of suffering any type of stroke. |
